The 01 oct. 2025
Coye-la-Forêt Cultural Centre 60580 COYE-LA-FORET
This show about the Second World War, through the story of a giraffe in a zoo, is a reference to wars past (and present, unfortunately). The puppets and sets, designed by artist Kostyantyn Zorkin, combine wood and metal, evoking the ruins of Kharkiv and its devastated buildings. While war is at the heart of the story, emotion does not exclude tenderness and humour. Without ever lapsing into hatred or pathos in the face of a war that is unfortunately still relevant today, the Ukrainian artists breathe light, poetry and hope into their work.
The show is performed in Ukrainian with live subtitles, and is suitable for children aged 10 and over - from CM2 to high school students.
